We at DALLE LUCCA, HENNEBERG, DUQUE BERTASI e LINARD ADVOGADOS, identified with the principles and vision contained in ISO 26000, which presents concepts and practices relative to social responsibility issues for all types of organizations, are seeking to foster, within the scope of our professional activities, the reflection and dissemination of good practices that help to support topics related to said responsibility, by adopting measures that may contribute to SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT in ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL, AND ECONOMIC areas, as translated by the mentioned STANDARD:
“The decisions and activities of the socially responsible organization can offer a significant contribution to sustainable development. The aim of sustainable development is to reach a state of sustainability or permanent feasibility of a specific organization. The sustainability of a given organization may or may not be compatible with the sustainability of society as a whole, which is accomplished by dealing with social, economic, and environmental aspects in an integrated way.”
It is important to note that the commitment to sustainability comprises the internal activities of an organization, as well as those of its employees, partners, companies, community, environment, among others, which is why its application should be induced by all spheres of influence and scope, mainly with regard to ethical and moral standards and the transparency of behavior, aiming to reach its objectives as an enterprise.
Within this context, our proposal is to include practices into management that simultaneously seek the good performance of the activity, the improvement of society, and the preservation of the environment, assumptions that may be encouraged for the performance of a SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE MANAGEMENT – a project that depends on the participation of all members of the firm– so that we may incorporate values and actions into our daily activities that can contribute to sustainability, especially by including social responsibility as an essential element of the firm’s strategy, adopting an ethical, transparent, and motivating behavior in the engagement of partners, lawyers, and employees, as well as prioritizing themes based on the objectives and needs of the firm in relation to the impacts they can create for sustainable development.
Mindful that the success of this project depends on the invaluable collaboration of all, we invite the members of DALLE LUCCA, HENNEBERG, DUQUE BERTASI e LINARD ADVOGADOS to assist us with their ideas in the project that seeks to implement an action plan, identifying, for such, relevant issues concerning the principles of social responsibility, and determining the respective corresponding actions, priorities, and goals responsible for its implementation and deadlines.
